This church will be a familiar landmark to anyone who has made the journey by car from Norwich to Yarmouth. Although the village of North Burlingham is now thankfully bypassed, the great tower of St Andrew still lifts its head above the trees on a rise to the north of the road. The short drive to the church also gives access to Burlingham Woods. The Church is open every day from 9 am to dusk. There are no current services at St Andrew's but you may wish to visit Hemblington church in the next. village.

There are normally 2 services a month; Morning Prayer at 10 a.m. on the 2nd Sunday and Holy Communion at 11.15 a.m. on the 4th Sunday. Both services are based on the Book of Common Prayer. The church is closed in the two coldest months, January and February due to the lack of heating and lighting.
The church, dedicated to St Edmund, is thatched and has no electricity or water supply; it dates from 1100, is a Grade I listed building and contains fine medieval treasures including a painted pulpit, carved pew ends and screen. It has a tower with three bells. The church roof was re-thatched in 1996.
A major restoration project, supported by several grant bodies including English Heritage was undertaken in 2013, which included replacing the tower roof, drainage, repointing flintwork, stabalising wall paintings, replastering and lime washing.
